Visitor Center
St. Mary Visitor Center combines east-side orientation with exhibits about the American Indian tribes connected to Glacier’s landscape. Watch the 15-minute park film if it fits your day, refill water and confirm your route or permit arrangements before heading farther into the park.
The St. Mary Visitor Center is located just inside the east entrance of the park near the community of St. Mary, Montana. Rangers are on duty inside to assist with trip planning. A park film is shown throughout the day. Exhibits highlight the rich Native American history associated with Glacier National Park.

- If you’re new to Glacier National Park’s east side, the St. Mary Visitor Center is the first stop to orient yourself. It serves families, hikers planning trips to St. Mary Lake or the St. Mary Falls Trailhead, and visitors who need a bathroom break or park information.
