I came to the shop 6 years ago in July 2019 and had to come back in September 2025 to buy another custom created hat from the owner, Randy. I absolutely love the hats and love the care Randy takes with every one of his works. If you are ever in the Whitefish, Montana area I highly recommend you check out Axehead.

What a fun shop in downtown Whitefish! We stopped in the store right at closing time but Randy and Trina were super kind and gracious to allow us to browse and create 2 custom hats! My son loved picking out his hat and patch while our other son timed Randy and his ability to make a hat in under 2 minutes! The hats are a great memory marker for our trip to Glacier National Park. If you have the opportunity to spend some time in downtown Whitefish, Axehead is a must!

We had a massive group of 12 and decided to pop into this shop before dinner. So glad we did! Randy was incredible! He was so knowledgeable and made this random stop into a true highlight of our trip! The quality of the products is wonderful! Cannot recommend Randy and his shop enough, thank you from the crazy group from STL!
