Walk the Swiftcurrent Nature Trail independently
Walk the 2.3-mile Swiftcurrent Nature Trail loop from Grinnell Glacier Trailhead or Many Glacier Hotel. Only the first quarter-mile from the trailhead is described as accessible, not the entire loop. Check current trail status.

Choose a shorter out-and-back if the loop is too much; supervise children near the water.
Take the narrated two-lake boat tour
Ride two boats from Many Glacier Hotel across Swiftcurrent and Josephine. A mandatory steep 0.2-mile walk connects them; this is not wheelchair accessible. Allow extra time for optional hiking and confirm return arrangements.

Swiftcurrent Lake puts the Many Glacier Hotel and views toward Grinnell Point at the start of your lake visit. Stay with the shore scenery, consider a rental on Swiftcurrent Lake, or choose the two-lake boat tour that continues to Lake Josephine. These are different outings: the tour requires a short, steep walk between boats, while the operator’s rental craft must remain on Swiftcurrent Lake and cannot be taken onward to Josephine.
