Nearby Facilities
Bowman Lake Campground (48 sites, no reservations). Polebridge Mercantile (seasonal supplies and baked goods) about 6 miles south. No running water or flush toilets — pit toilets only.
Best Time To Visit
Late June through September — road access and conditions are best during summer months.
Tips Advice
Bring kayaks or canoes — motorboats are not permitted. The 7.1-mile Bowman Lake Trail follows the north shore to Bowman Pass. Water is cold year-round even in summer.

Suitable for families with older children. The lakeshore is easy to explore but the remote location and rough road access require planning. No lifeguards on duty.
