Is Timed Entry required to enter RMNP?

Yes. In 2026, Timed Entry is required May 22–October 12 (9 a.m.–2 p.m.) for the park outside Bear Lake Road, and Timed Entry+ is required May 22–October 18 (5 a.m.–6 p.m.) for the Bear Lake Road corridor. A valid park entrance fee is also required.

Do Timed Entry reservations guarantee parking?

No. Timed Entry does not guarantee a parking spot; arrive early or use the shuttle when available.

Are pets allowed on trails?

Pets are prohibited on all RMNP trails, tundra, and meadows. They may be in vehicles or designated areas on a leash up to six feet; food must be stored securely.
