Quiet and peaceful; suitable for couples and families seeking a retreat; some rooms may feel dated. River views enhance the experience.

Look, it’s not a flashy resort. It’s a small, bootstrapped lodge with a riverside vibe and a strong breakfast. Some rooms feel a touch dated and one portable heater can be loud. For the price and the river view, it’s a solid value near Glacier.
If you crave a bustling hotel scene with a valet and a big on-site restaurant, this isn’t your spot.
Direct booking via http://www.duckinn.com/ is best; book 6 months ahead for peak; request a river-view room; confirm pet policy if traveling with a non-Becket-friendly companion.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Logan Room, possibly the nicest room I’ve ever stayed in! The hot tub and fireplace were amazing. The staff were very kind, and went above and beyond to ship my water bottle to me when I forgot it in the room. The inn itself was very cozy and beautiful inside the lobby area with plants everywhere, a few fish tanks, and a wood fire every morning. The views were great as well, with our room opening to a private balcony overlooking the creek. We visited in October, and are still talking about whitefish and the inn a month later. We will definitely be back for a visit someday!

Great place! We had a delicious breakfast every morning before heading to glacier national park. The hosts were very accommodating and kind. We stayed in the Isaac room and woke up each morning to a glorious sunrise above the treeline (see attached pic taken from our window) In the evenings we watched a family of deer graze through the grass. We will definitely stay here again! 5 star rating all around!

What a wonderful stay — excellent service, beautiful riverside setting, clean and well-equipped rooms, and a lovely continental breakfast. Communication from booking to arrival was outstanding. It is so nice to still see some home-grown hospitality! it is a credit to the owners - Todd and team.
