Why stay here
You're trading amenities for price.
Logan Pass without the parking lottery
Park the car for the day and walk 14 minutes to St. Mary Visitor Center. From July 1 to September 7 the $1 ticketed shuttle runs from there to the pass, and the 3-hour Logan Pass parking clock never applies to you.
Who it fits
Budget-conscious hikers who need a clean bed and early checkout access to Glacier trails; road-trippers optimizing lodging spend.
Your morning from here
Coffee in the village, then the St. Mary entrance is a few minutes away. In July and August the ticketed Logan Pass shuttle leaves from the St. Mary Visitor Center; Logan Pass parking is limited to three hours, so an early start still matters.
You are a dawn-to-dusk hiker who needs cheap lodging near Glacier's east side.
You want in-room amenities, restaurant service, or heated pool.
Getting into the park from this bed
14 minutes on foot to the shuttle. 1 min to the gate by car.
