We roll into West Yellowstone with Best Western Desert Inn. It's a punchy budget base with a free full breakfast, indoor heated pool, and a shuttle that runs to the airport and town. Rooms vary from Standard with microwave to suites with full kitchens. For value and park access, we take those.
Skip the lobby sludge—the breakfast is solid and free. You're about 2 minutes from the park entrance by car. Leave by 6:30 AM to beat crowds and start your day strong.

Definitely one of the best places to stay in West Yellowstone. The staff is so kind and helpful, breakfast has tons of options and amazing indoor pool and hot tub! The location makes it easy to walk anywhere in town. Our room was very comfortable and it was so nice having a microwave and fridge. Big kudos to housekeeping for doing an amazing job in our room daily and working so well around all our junk we brought with us! We had a pretty mountain view from our window too!

Had a great experience at the Best Western Desert Inn! We stayed in a suite and the kitchen was HUGE! It had a oven/stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, and plenty of dishes/utensils. The room also had a small table and chairs as well as other seating. Really loved all the space and it was mostly quiet. They also offered daily breakfast with lots of options including make your own waffles, eggs, meats, yogurt, and plenty of drinks. Would highly recommend staying here!

I had a great time here a few years ago and wanted to share my experience with others So, I set up some of my clients to stay at this hotel. However, nothing ever seems to work out regarding the reservation I’ve made months before. And, after careful planning on my end, I expect things to go as smoothly because I’ve checked all the boxes, made sure my clients needs are met. But, I’ve gotten numerous calls, on my days off mind you, regarding the reservation I’ve made for my clients. I continuously am told that there’s an issue with the reservation I’ve made. When I contact the hotel staff, I feel as if I get the run around. Not only does this not reflect well on me, it doesn’t reflect well on this Best Western Division. Moving forward, I will not be making reservations for my clients at this Best Western. Incredibly disappointed.
