Great Bear Cafe fuels Glacier mornings with a chorus of texture and warmth. The Beef Burger arrives juicy with a bold char, toppings popping with acid from picks; Biscuits & Gravy cloaks a fluffy biscuit in a rich, greedy gravy. The Smoked Turkey Sandwich with Boar's Head meat rides alongside a standout macaroni salad, while the Huckleberry Cream Soda adds a tart, local twist. Coffee is solid, and the vibe stays casual and family-friendly after a day on the trail.

Great Bear Cafe is THE place to go for a moist, thick, delicious elk or bison burger. Their food was so delicious, we visited two days in a row! It is worth adding the huckleberry-cherry compote on top (or on the side). This huckleberry reduction is just the right amount of sweet, without the tartness. The staff are friendly, engaging, and able to adjust orders to meet dietary needs. Lettuce wrap in place of a bun for a gluten friendly order.Try a huckleberry-lemonade slushie, you will not be disappointed!

Had the Elk Burger and the All American Buffalo Burger. They were phenomenal!! The beer cheese soup and the macaroni salads were great sides that paired perfectly with the burgers. Lunch starts at 11 make sure you get there early because it's a small dining room that fills fast!! Also make sure you get the Huckleberry Delight for dessert or you are missing out.

We drove UTV’s and we’re hungry and tired. This place was the perfect dinner stop. We all got some form of burger. I got a Huckleberry Elm Burger with no bun and my husband and son got one as well. My other son got a garlic truffle burgers. The chili chicken soup was good. Macaroni salad so-so.
