North Pines is located along the Merced River in Yosemite Valley. Yosemite Valley is centrally located in the park and boasts some of Yosemite's most iconic features. This campground is located at 4,000 feet (1,219 m) elevation and can be accessed from all park roads.

- North Pines Campground reservations are available by early access lottery; any available reservations after the lottery are available up to five months in advance starting February 15.
- Reservation Window
- After the early access period, remaining campground reservations are available in blocks of one month at a time, up to five months in advance, on the 15th of each month at 7 am Pacific time.
- Fills Up Speed
- Be aware that nearly all campground reservations in Yosemite for the months of May through September and for some other weekends are filled the first day they become available, usually within seconds or minutes after 7 am Pacific time.
