" High satisfaction with the ease of self-guided paddling and lake access; expect clear safety guidance due to cold water; strong rating reflects reliable gear and logistics"
Julian Markov
What a beautiful area! It may get a little overcrowded but beach access is nice. There is a ramp where little kids jump from. The water level at the ramp end is barely 4’9’’, so only kids can jump from there. Wear water shoes because it is hard to walk on the pebbles. Crystal clear glacial lakes. I highly recommend.

The famous rainbow rocks are amazing. Fun little beach to hang out and swim at if it's not too crowded. Parking is brutal like everywhere else in the park, so take the shuttle or get there before 8 am

The beauty of the lake is beyond description. It is a perfect spot for meditation. I came in early April and many shops were still not opened. The pebbles at the beach are unique and well shaped.

You don’t need prior experience; this is a self-guided, flat-water paddle. Basic paddling ability is sufficient, and instruction is provided as part of the rental orientation.
You’re getting a kayak or paddleboard, paddles, and a PFD with the rental; park entrance fees apply separately. Gear quality and safety items are included, which reduces setup time and ensures proper fit.
Cancellation rules vary by outfitter; some require several days’ notice. Check the specific policy when you book; Glacier Outfitters’ policy commonly requires 3 days’ notice for refunds.
Triple kayaks may have weight restrictions and age considerations; check the outfitter’s limits (some triples cap riders at around 120 lbs per seat) before booking.
Gear essentials are provided, but bring water shoes, a warm layer, sunglasses with a strap, and a waterproof bag for electronics. Dress for changing conditions and wear quick-drying clothing.
