Cadillac Summit Road vehicle reservations

The only reservation Acadia requires is for driving Cadillac Summit Road — the road to the highest point on the US Atlantic coast. In 2026, reservations are required May 20 through October 25 and cost $6 per vehicle on Recreation.gov, on top of your entrance pass.

Detail2026 rule

Three things trip people up: a reservation gets you one entry only (no re-entry), sunrise slots are limited to one per week per person, and the 70% two-day drop at 10 am ET is the realistic play if you missed the 90-day window.

No reservation needed for any other part of the park — or for reaching the Cadillac summit on foot, by bike, or by taxi.
