Checked October 7, 2026: West Garden Key Dinghy Beach between the finger piers and South Coaling Dock is CLOSED following hurricane damage; it is not an available launch. Little Africa reef is off Loggerhead Key, about three miles from Garden Key, not beside this beach. Loggerhead has no public transport; use a suitably equipped private vessel or a carefully planned open-water kayak/canoe trip. Do not swim in the moat, designated vessel channels or restricted landing areas; obey posted closures.
