Strawberry Creek Road

Natural Attraction
Green and white road sign for Strawberry Creek

Drive through a valley scorched by the summer 2016 wildfire and witness nature's comeback in real time. The charred landscape reveals the Basin and Range terrain beneath: dead standing trees, recovering shrubs, and returning wildlife create a landscape in flux. At dusk and dawn, elk herds commonly cross the dirt road and graze across the rugged slopes. This is erosion and renewal happening now, visible from your car.
