Wildwood Stables
The weathered barn at Wildwood Stables serves as the hub for Acadia's 40-mile carriage road network on eastern Mount Desert Island. Built as a private farm in 1911, it continues the park's early tradition of horse-based exploration. Visitors can reserve horse-drawn carriage tours from the facility or bring their own horses to navigate the scenic routes.
