Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: July 5, 2026

YourNPGuide is reader-supported. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means that if you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you.

How it works

We participate in affiliate programs including AvantLink (which connects us with outdoor retailers such as Campmor and other gear merchants) and the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you buy gear through one of our links, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same either way.

What this means for our recommendations

  • We only recommend gear we would actually pack. Our gear reviews include honest “skip it if” guidance, and we tell you when a cheaper option does the job.
  • Affiliate relationships never change our park guidance. Trip-planning pages, fee and reservation information, trail guides, and safety content are written to be useful first — many of those pages carry no affiliate links at all.
  • Prices shown are checked on a stated date and can change. Always confirm the current price with the retailer before buying.

Identifying affiliate links

Pages that contain affiliate links include a disclosure notice near the recommendations. Outbound affiliate links are tagged with rel="sponsored" in accordance with search-engine guidelines and the FTC’s endorsement rules (16 CFR Part 255).
