Natural AttractionBat Flight Amphitheater
Dusk bat emergence at Carlsbad Caverns' Natural Entrance — caves formed by sulfuric acid dissolution.

The Big Room stretches before you as a vast limestone chamber with passages weaving along the walls. It measures about 4,000 feet in length, 625 feet in width, and 255 feet at its highest point. The cave formed when sulfuric acid dissolved Capitan limestone, and later carbonate processes produced stalactites, stalagmites, and other speleothems.
