Overview

About This Park

Arches National Park is open year-round, 24 hours. Timed-entry reservations are required for 7:00 AM–4:00 PM from Apr 1–Oct 31, with a $2 processing fee per vehicle. The timed-entry is suspended mid-summer 2025 (Jul–Aug 27) due to lower visitation, then resumes Aug 28–Oct 31. Main Rule: Vehicle entries during 7:00 AM–4:00 PM require a timed-entry reservation unless exempt.

Why Visit

Arches National Park presents a landscape-scale geological canvas shaped by wind and water over eons. Its concentrated sandstone arches reveal a complex sedimentary history and ongoing erosional dynamics that inform our understanding of arid-region geology. Protecting this resource enables ongoing scientific work and controlled public access for study and experience.
