We had the best pork chop we’ve ever eaten, perfectly seared, juicy inside, and beautifully seasoned. The Baby Clam & Spicy Elk Sausage pasta was delicious too: the clams are on the small side, but the spicy elk sausage is a must-try, and the rich cream sauce ties it all together with great heat and texture. The New York strip was cooked exactly to a consistent medium, with a nice char. Our server also let us upgrade the fries to the white-truffle Parmesan version, super crisp and addictive, great with drinks. We ordered right before the 10:00 pm kitchen cutoff and the quality was still excellent, thank you! Service was warm and friendly, and the taxidermy accented décor adds a distinctly local vibe. Tip: after 10 pm the menu is limited to appetizers and pizza only.

As we entered we were greeted with a friendly smile. Host took us to a table where a very jovial server named Brock welcomed us. We ordered drinks and two appetizers which came out in just a few minutes.Wings were great, spinach dip fantastic. We came to this restaurant to try the Elk so I asked Brock what he would recommend. He gave us very knowledgeable guidance and we ordered the Bison Filet and Elk burger. We ordered both medium as they get dry done any more than that. They came to the table exactly as ordered.Ambience of the place is your average sports bar but a bit more open and airy, TV's everywhere. All in all a fabulous experience, would recommend after a long day touring the Yellowstone.

We had such a great experience at Hank’s Chop Shop while staying in West Yellowstone! The menu is very diverse, which made it easy for everyone in the family to find something they loved. My kids ordered the kids’ burgers, which were a third pound each, and both said they were fantastic. The fries were perfectly crunchy and so good.My husband went with the elk and clam pasta, and not only did it look incredible, but he said it was absolutely delicious. I had the black and blue salad, and it was perfection. A perfectly cooked medium flat iron steak sat on the freshest salad with very generous portions of toppings. The blue cheese was plentiful, the avocado was creamy, and even the cucumber tasted unbelievably fresh. Our server, Brock, made the whole experience even better. He was very patient and attentive, and never once seemed rushed, even though he was serving a massive section of the restaurant. We will definitely be recommending Hank’s Chop Shop to anyone visiting West Yellowstone!
