Hotels in West Yellowstone are usually very pricey during peak season, but I was so glad to discover this historic gem. As the oldest hotel in town, it’s full of character — from the wooden structure and Montana-style antiques to the mounted wildlife, everything radiates Yellowstone charm. Complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and a dining room with microwave and tableware made it especially convenient. The shared bathrooms and showers were spotless and spacious, the bed was super comfortable, and the whole hotel felt warm and cozy despite the cold September nights. The only minor drawback was that the outlets were a bit far from the bed, likely due to the historic design.Special thanks to Jing at the front desk — her sweet smile and thoughtful service really made my stay memorable. I loved my 3-night stay in Room 103 and will happily return with my tour groups in the future. Highly recommended!

I love that I didn't have to pay for anything more than a place to sleep. The prices were great and well matched for the service accommodations. We also used the kitchen / eating area and enjoyed the hot chocolate choices. The staff were always professional, yet very warm and friendly. Overall I'm very happy with the stay and will definitely stay at the Madison Hotel on my next trip to Yellowstone.

We stayed at The Historic Madison in West Yellowstone while visiting Yellowstone NP and really enjoyed it! The room looked just like the photos - small, but exactly what we needed for our stay. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including a private bathroom and working TV.The air conditioner was a little tricky to figure out at first, but once we got it set, there were no issues. Parking was convenient, and the location couldn’t be better - it’s within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and everything downtown.A great, simple place to stay while exploring Yellowstone!
