It's $87 on the low end and $316 at the top for some rooms. Indoor pool and hot tub are year-round, and a free continental breakfast helps stretch the budget. The lodge sits about 1 mile from the West Entrance and is steps from downtown West Yellowstone and key attractions. Not luxury, but a solid base for Yellowstone without breaking the bank.
Coffee verdict: the free continental breakfast helps start, but skip the lobby coffee for a local cafe. You're about 5 minutes from the West Entrance, so plan to leave around 6:30 AM to beat the crowds. If you want peak views, request mountain-view in advance and head out early.
✅ BOOK IF: You want park proximity and solid value. ❌ SKIP IF: You crave luxury and absolute quiet.

We stayed here on our first part of a two week trip. We booked the family suite. Upon arrival we were told it wasn’t an available but they had put us in an adjoining room for the inconvenience for the same price. I was double charged. They told me I had to wait for the manager to come in on Monday to fix or email her. They did correct the problem the next day but I had a hold on my account for the double charge for 5 days. Two children came to the front to tell them their toilet was clogged and their dad asked to switch rooms. They said no they couldn’t but could give them a plunger. The person behind the desk proceeded to give these children a plunger with a bag over it so they could take it back for their dad to fix himself. Even these 8-9 year old children knew this wasn’t how you handle an issue like this. When we entered our two rooms the one room had luggage in it. They assigned the room to us but have someone else the room key and told them they were in that room but booked them in the one next to it. It was corrected but just another issue to handle. The hotel needs serious updating especially the bathrooms. The tile was cracked on the floor and the tub has several cracks. Beds were pretty comfortable but bedding was old and the one room had a very noisy exhaust fan. I asked about it and they said they are all like that. Didn’t go near the pool and laundry facilities were in the basement which was a bit creepy. The breakfast was your standard continental and not horrible. I would not recommend this hotel for various reasons. If possible, pay extra and stay at the cottages across the street. They appear to be clean and have outdoor space. This hotel had non which with the beautiful Montana nights would’ve been nice to enjoy.

Even though our booking allowed for check-in at 4:00 pm, we arrived at 8:00 pm. In any reputable hotel, this should mean immediate access to our room. However, after a full day of driving in the park, we were not allowed to access our room because, as the front desk employee explained to us, another guest had discharged bear spray on the first floor. We were then told that we would need to wait two hours, and no alternative was offered besides waiting or taking our money back and trying to find another hotel at 8:00 pm during high season.I have to say that, being tired and not a native English speaker, I was unable to request any better alternatives. As a result, we decided to wait for two hours and go out for dinner at a restaurant, although we had planned to eat in our room at a more affordable price. I also want to note that no one from the hotel contacted us to apologize, or to offer any discount or other way to rectify the situation. While I understand that the hotel is not responsible for the actions of another guest with the bear spray, it does not seem fair that I had to absorb this inconvenience. Situations like this are part of doing business and should be handled by the hotel. If I had requested early check-in, I likely would have had to pay extra, so I don’t understand why I was required to pay full price when I was only able to access my room six hours after the standard check-in time.If hotel management would like to reach out to me by email and offer a way to address this issue, I would appreciate it.As someone who has traveled extensively, I would also recommend that management better train their staff to handle such situations.

This hotel seemed like it was great at one time. Shower didn't stay hot long. The exterior doors stay unlocked all night. We didn't try the breakfast so I can't comment on that but I did like that they had coin laundry. The indoor pool and hot tub looked nice but we didn't bring our swimsuits. The staff was very helpful.
