⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ 4/5 – Beautiful Lodge and Great Location, But Limited Dining in SeptemberWe stayed at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge in September and really enjoyed our time there. The location can’t be beat — being just steps from Old Faithful and the geyser basin makes it incredibly convenient and a wonderful base for exploring that part of the park. The lodge itself feels modern, clean, and well maintained, with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spotless, comfortably furnished, and not too warm (even without air conditioning). The fan in the room provided plenty of airflow, and we appreciated the thoughtful welcome note from our housekeeper — a small but personal touch. The Wi-Fi worked great, which was a pleasant surprise inside the park. As expected, rates are high, but that’s fairly standard for in-park lodging. The Obsidian Dining Room was good — the food was tasty and the service friendly. However, we were disappointed to find that most other dining options had already closed for the season, leaving only two dinner choices. We had to line up before opening to secure a spot, since the other restaurant’s next available reservation wasn’t until 9:30 p.m. After a long day of exploring, the idea of not being able to get dinner felt stressful.Overall, the Snow Lodge delivered exactly what it promises: a clean, comfortable, and modern stay right in the heart of Yellowstone. Just be prepared for limited dining options late in the season and plan your meals ahead.

We were visiting Yellowstone and wanted to see Old Faithful. We were going to get a room at the Snow Lodge but we had to book direct due to low availability and couldn't get through by phone. When we arrived they had one cabin left and got us a reservation in no time. The cabin was so cute and very comfortable. I wish it had a mini fridge but other than that it was perfect. It was a short walk to everything and everyone was so nice and helpful. The visitor center also is a must while you are there. They have so much information that is very interesting and informative. AMAZINGThe Obsidian dining room was nice, staff helpful, accommodating and nice. Bison short rib and filet was delicious. Breakfast was a buffet and it filled the empty spot in my belly but wasn't great. Overall I would highly recommend staying there.

Huge clean rooms with coffee maker, fridge, and micro - wood lined with huge bed, nice writing desk, and plenty of storage. Steps away from old faithful, the lodge with it's shops and restaurants, and the visitor center. Step out onto your porch and see the mountains or walk 5 minutes and see the natural phenom, Old Faithful, at any time. Seriously - how does this get better? Highly recommend.
