Here's the plan: It's a straightforward basecamp close to Glacier trails. The RV sites are roomy with clear hookups and easy maneuvering. Quiet nights and simple comforts make it a dependable home base for your park adventures.
RV sites, tent sites, cabins
Forest and hillside views; pond nearby
Hungry Horse, Columbia Falls (3 miles), Whitefish (16 miles)
Playground, dog park, pond fishing; occasional live music; kid-friendly amenities
Summer (mid-June to mid-August) for best weather; shoulder seasons quieter; book early for peak season
Most RV sites are back-in on a hillside; interior roads are crushed rock and gravel; watch for tight turns; max 45 ft; allow time to maneuver. Big rigs should plan for potential need to back in and use level blocks.
Functional basecamp near Glacier; hillside, wooded; close to services; privacy varies by site; not a wilderness retreat
Showers are free, hot, and private; bathrooms are clean and well-kept; laundry details are not provided
RV sites, tent sites, cabins
Fishing in stocked rainbow trout pond (no license; barbless flies only), horseshoe pit, dog park, playground, stargazing; occasional live music
Campspot (mmrvpark.com) (Booking: Year-round reservations; best to book Oct–Jan for peak season (mid-Jun to mid-Aug).)
Pets Allowed - Leashed (6 ft max) at all times; fenced dog area; dogs not allowed in meadow/pond areas or on Glacier NP trails
To Park Entrance
About 9 miles from West Glacier entrance; 15–20 minutes drive

The location is perfect, especially if you’re visiting Glacier National Park. The price is very reasonable compared to other nearby RV parks, and you really get great value here. While the sites don’t have individual sewer hookups, a convenient dump station is available. The laundry facilities are excellent with plenty of machines and even a coin exchange, and the bathrooms and showers are updated, spotless, and well-maintained. The hosts are incredibly welcoming — they even helped us find our spot and get our trailer parked. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Phenomenal Experience at Mountain Meadow RV ParkMountain Meadow RV Park in Hungry Horse, Montana was a phenomenal experience for my family and me. The location couldn’t have been better—just minutes from Glacier National Park, yet close enough to town for anything you might need. The campsites were well-kept and easy to access—nothing a trailer or an experienced camper couldn’t handle. The bathhouses were absolutely top-rate: clean, modern, and spacious. One of the best I’ve ever seen. The park is both dog-friendly and family-friendly, with a peaceful, quiet atmosphere that made for a relaxing stay. Overall, this was one of the best RV park experiences we've had, and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

This RV park is excellent! My friend and I tent camped here in one of their 4 tent campsites. The service is spectacular and really friendly! We were immediately greeted by the couple who was working and they were incredibly helpful! The guy showed us to our site and even left free wood and fire starter for us. They asked about us when we were gone from our site for a long time. Another day there was another couple working and they helped us choose hikes to do.The location is also excellent. It's only a 9 minute drive from the west entrance to glacier when there isn't traffic. The facilities are also great! It's very wooded and you feel like you are outdoors. They have a nice pond area where you can see the sunset. The bathrooms are very clean and excellent. They even have some huckleberries you can pick and eat yourself.Choose this RV park!
